Look into Google Analytic and Webmaster:
These are the two main tools you will need is: Google analytic and webmaster. Google Analytics lets you analyze your blog traffic, see how and where people are finding your site. Webmaster, on the other hand, work the same way – but this takes a deeper look at how people find the blog through search engine. Webmaster let you see keywords people are typing in to find your site.

This is a plugin you would need to install on the blog. This is useful if you want a quick and easy method to integrate SEO into your blog. The Yoast SEO Plugin will help you optimize your blog post title, URL, and even the meta-data information. Look into getting worthwhile Backlinks:
Backlinks are links to your site from a different site. If do backlinks well, you will get new visitors and be pushed up on the blog/website ranking. The best way to get backlinks if another blogger or web owner links to your site, this can be bloggers recommendation post, blog links-up or even you leaving a comment on a blogger post. Getting backlinks is a worthwhile method to SEO success.
Keep an eye out for Google Updates:
I’m a little unsure how often Google does it updates, as it often feels like all the time and it doesn’t end. What this means is, what one method could work amazingly one moment – the next it completely doesn’t due to Google updates. So always keep an eye out for it. You can do this by reading various SEO blogs. The best one is: Search Engine Journal.
I hope that has helped you with your SEO. Do you have anything else to add?
