Creating quality content on any subject can be quite easy if you know how to go about it. Your goal for each content you create should be to have something that adds good value, is relevant and easy to read. Writing for the web is a bit different from traditional writing. There are a few important writing guides to note and you can find some of these here. Take note of them as you begin to implement the writing strategies we will share here.
Strategies for Creating Quality Content
Writing is not difficult once you have a strategy. All you need to do is decide on the strategy you want to use, and you can go ahead to create quality content. Here are a few strategies:
This technique simply describes a strategy that involves putting multiple articles together to form yours. Find other helpful articles on the subject you want to write on, pick out major points from the different articles and use this to write yours.
This is actually how most writers write on topics they have no previous knowledge of. It’s simple research and with it you can write on most topics. This is similar to the first part of what Brian Dean calls the Skyscraper technique. You can read about it here: https://ahrefs.com/blog/skyscraper-technique/.
This strategy is ideal for certain subjects that have clearly defined experts or professionals. For example, if you are writing on a health-related article you can consider a doctor to be an expert. What you do is to do a little research to find the email addresses of about 3 or more experts (depending on how long you want your article to be).
Next, send each of your chosen experts a question (the same question) on your subject matter. Their responses will be the content of your article. You will begin by writing an introduction to the topic. You will then present each expert and their answers to your question.
Write a conclusion and your article is done.
This is a bit similar to the strategy above. The difference is that you do not need to contact the experts. Just search for content online related to your topic and pick out some stand out quotes from them.
Once again, you begin by choosing your topic, writing an introduction and then introducing your chosen experts and their quotes. Choose as many as you need to complete your article. You can then close with a short conclusion.
This is a third variation of getting content from an expert or experts. In this case, you will need to contact the expert and request an opportunity to interview them. Surely, this requires that you convince the expert to grant you the interview.
Once you can find an expert willing to grant you an interview, you can either conduct it over the phone and then transcribe it later, or you can send the expert a list of question and have them answer it. The downside of the second option is that you cannot ask to follow up questions based on answers given.
With the interview done, all you need to do is write an introduction and a conclusion and you are done.
This method is great for short posts. Look for a highly engaging or trending video related to your topic. Embed this in your post and then write your takeaways from the video, whether or not you agree with them or any other angle from which you want to approach it.
The idea is to ride on the interest the video has generated by giving your own view on it.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This means that several pictures used to describe a train of thought will be worth many thousands of words. Infographics do not require too many words. You just need relevant images and a few descriptive words arranged in proper sequence.
If done right, your readers can glance through the infographic and quickly understand what you are saying. It’s very easy to read and given the short attention span among internet users today, this is a great thing.
Everything we have described above requires that you have some time to dedicate to this. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time to do this. The solution for such persons is to outsource their writing tasks.
You can get freelancers to write for you, you can visit sites like qualityguestposts.com to have quality content created and guest posted for you or you can employ fulltime writers to write for you. This way, you can focus on the important task of running your business.
If you have decided that writing is something you want to get hands on with, then the strategies enumerated above will surely come in handy especially when ideas are hard to come by. Simply pick one strategy and your idea problems will be solved.
